About the Founder
The USA Clean System™ was created by a former airline and military TOPGUN pilot.
He turned his love of checklists and systems thinking into a training company that grew to be the world's largest provider of teamwork and communications skills training for military flight squadrons. The coaching, training, and mentoring programs built into their products helped produce the greatest improvement in aircraft safety in U.S. Air Force history.
Later, he created a team of pilots, astronauts, physicians, nurses, and Toyota-trained Lean experts to help over 230 health care organizations around the world to become high-reliability organizations as they eliminated patient harm and improved the efficiency of their operations with checklists, team training, and a systems approach to providing care.
He has authored or co-authored, three books on patient safety, written hundreds of articles and newsletters, and designed over 40 separate training programs for commercial aviation, military flight squadrons, heavy construction, military contractors, and health care.
